IN THE CELLAR
We have a wide range of real ales mainly sourced from a variety of local brewers. You will find that we change our range frequently and you will be able to keep track of it all here. Listed below are the beers that we are currently pouring.
Amber & Smooth
A burnished gold premium ale. Full bodied, smooth and satisfying.
Ingredients:- Pale and crystal malt with English Goldings and Fuggles hops. Wye Valley Brewery's most popular brand.
Enville Real Ale
Pale & Fruity
Based on a 19th century recipe, this traditional beekeepers ale is light in colour with fruity notes and a hint of sweetness to compliment the dry hoppy taste. Brewed using our own natural spring water, 100% Maris Otter floor malted barley, top fermenting ale yeast, specially selected honeys and pure English hops, it is no surprise that our flagship Enville Ale has been a consistent CAMRA and beer festival winner and collected twenty four awards since we began in 1993.
Hobsons Twisted Spire
Golden & Hoppy
Hobsons Twisted Spire is a beer with all round appeal. It's a quenching low gravity beer with a nice bitterness in flavour and refreshing bursts of hop flavour which lingers through to a crisp dry finish.
Twisted Spire is brewed with Hersbruker, Fuggles and First Gold hop varieties and Maris Otter malting barley. The vibrant blond beer appeals to the palates of both the practised ale drinker and potential lager convert.
The beer's name was inspired by the curious and rare twisted spire church of St Mary the Virgin in the heart of Cleobury Mortimer, home to Hobsons.
A zesty refreshing beer that's cracking with Lemon Chicken or tangy Thai King Prawns. Great with seafood like Sole or lightly cured Gravlax and soft cheese with Chives.
Perfectly pitched with Lemon tart or Dundee Orange cake
Ludlow Brewery Blonde
Pale & Fruity
The blonde gives a lemony, citrus aroma and is balanced, with crisp citrus notes in taste.
Wye Valley HPA
Pale & Hoppy
HPA is a truly delightful pale ale. It's smooth on the palate, and boasts a citrus hop aroma leading to a balanced bitter finish.
Locally grown Target and Celeia hops play an important part in making this such a distinctive beer. With Maris Otter pale malt and malted wheat also being used, this is very much a pale ale with all the right ingredients.
